Ok...Your thinking about a website...now what?

• Step #1: Decide if you truly need or want a website.

• Step #2: Understand cost...for example domain name registration and yearly maintenance fees, hosting fees (Server cost), and the Website site design and maintenance fees.

• Step #3: Ok...once you have decided that you want a site go to www.i3dthemes.com and pick out a template. (Just remember that the colors and pictures can be changed to your liking.

• Step #4: If you don't have your own pictures and what to use high quality professional pictures in your website go to www.istockphotos.com

• Step #5: Do not purchase any of the items from the above list...that is my job, your job is to make notes and relay that information back to me.

• Step #6: Understand that content (text, pictures, maps, etc.) is the most important and probably the hardest part of designing your own website.

• Step #7: Storyboard  (sketching out your ideas) on how you want your site to look. Look at other sites and take notes about what your likes and dislikes. Try to determine what content and how you what your pages linked to each other (Navigational Structure).
